However, a meeting with DFB captain Manuel Neuer is less easy.
Marbella – Nothing is left to chance in the football business these days – this is especially true when it comes to food: Because if you want to perform at your best, you need a nutrition plan that is tailored to it.
As an exception, Tim Mälzer (52) was allowed to take care of him with the German national football team in May 2022, who was allowed to make a guest appearance with "Kitchen Impossible" (Vox) at the DFB training camp in Marbella, Spain - and with his pithy sayings not at every kicker there well received.

In June 2022, Hansi Flick's (58) national team faced Italy, England and Hungary in the UEFA Nations League - important games for which they prepared in advance in a training camp in Spain in May.
Manuel Neuer (36; FC Bayern Munich) and Co. received prominent support: Tim Mälzer was sent to the Costa del Sol by his “Kitchen Impossible” opponent Thomas Bühner (60) to cook for the elite of German football there.

As self-confident as ever, the 52-year-old TV chef presented himself in sunny Marbella: "I'm something like the Franz Beckenbauer of culinary art, a luminary." In the event of any personnel problems, Hansi Flick could even have put his trust in Tim Mälzer, like this the national coach assured: “I was a very good left hand runner.
Or if you need someone who talks shit non-stop to soften up the opponent.” In fact, the Hamburg native who was born in Schleswig-Holstein was later allowed to take part in a small training session.
Who cooks regularly for the DFB?
Since August 1, 2017, the DFB has relied on the skills of star chef Anton Schmaus (41).
"Cooking for the team is an incredible honor and a demanding challenge," said the restaurateur, who was born in Regen, Lower Bavaria, on the German national team's website.
"Germany's best footballers eat with me three times a day from now on.
We want to lay the foundation for top performance in terms of nutrition.” The 41-year-old currently runs several star restaurants in Regensburg, having previously learned his trade in Lugano, St. Moritz, Stockholm and New York, among others.

There, however, Tim Mälzer was obviously not really welcome by every DFB star:
His overly motivated "See you on the field!" to right-back Benny Henrichs (26; RB Leipzig) and offensive talent Lukas Nmecha (24; VfL Wolfsburg) went unanswered.
The 52-year-old also bit his teeth at team captain Manuel Neuer: “Have a nice evening, Mr. Neuer.
I'll do an extra shift here," he let the 2014 world champion know - but he didn't react.
The DFB guest took it with humor: "God, they ignored me.
But I was only able to explain that to myself later.
At first I thought they were focused, but they were afraid of losing their regular place,” laughed Tim Mälzer.

The main broadcaster RTL is heading for uncertain times: Dieter Bohlen (69) and DSDS are threatened with a real quota disaster in April.
