China called on the United States today to stop seeking hegemony and bullying, respect the sovereignty, territorial integrity and territorial integrity of other countries, and choose the path of peaceful coexistence and win-win results.

"The United States is not used to hearing the truth, and it is still less willing to face its problems," Xinhua news agency quoted Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin as saying at a press conference.

Regarding the unmanned Chinese airship that was shot down by the US military after it mistakenly entered US airspace, Wang said: "The US fabrication of the airship story violates international obligations and multiple basic principles of international law," explaining that his country has explicitly informed the US side several times that entering the Chinese airship without A pilot was a completely unintended, unexpected and force majeure event.

Wang stressed that the US position on the incident was predetermined for a long time, and serves the so-called "contain and suppress China" strategy.
