Many changes are expected next month. Le Figaro takes stock.

Several important changes for the daily lives of French people and their wallets are expected in the coming weeks.

TotalEnergies caps the price of diesel and gasoline at €1.99 for the rest of 2023

As of March 1, TotalEnergies will cap the price of diesel and SP95 at 1.99 euros.

Announced at the end of February on TF1 by the CEO, Patrick Pouyanné, this measure will have an immediate effect in certain stations of the group, while 4 stations out of 10 display a price per liter higher than 2 euros, according to the businessman.

3,400 petrol stations are affected by this decision, which will remain in effect throughout 2023. This cap should be able to help the French in a strong inflationary context.

Last month to claim the fuel allowance of one hundred euros

French people using their car to get to work are warned: there are only a few weeks left to claim the fuel allowance set up by the government.

Opening of requests for partial reimbursement of the Navigo pass

From March 14, owners of a Navigo pass who have had a pass for at least three months over the last four months of 2022 - i.e. between September and December - can request a refund of half a month of subscription, i.e. 37.60 euros.

Applications will be made on a dedicated platform until April 14, 2023. Proof of payment or an annual Navigo pass number will be required.

Subscribers to the Navigo Month, Annual, Senior, Solidarity Month 75% and 50%, imagine R Student and School package are eligible.

Some users of the RER B and RER D may also benefit from additional reimbursement, due to the degradation of the service.

More supervised telephone sales canvassing

Calls from unknown numbers are over on weekends and public holidays.

As of March 1, several new rules governing cold calling come into effect.

It will therefore only be possible to canvass you by telephone from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Similarly, the same canvasser cannot call you more than four times a month.

If direct sellers violate these new rules, they are liable to a fine of 75,000 euros for a natural person and a fine of 375,000 euros for a legal person.

Each year, distributors and suppliers negotiate on the wholesale prices of goods sold on the shelves.

The talks end on March 1.

The equality index made public in companies

In companies with 50 or more employees, the equality index must be made public, as every year, by March 1.

The tool must reflect gender equality in a structure, calculated by a score.

Since 2022, depending on the score obtained (out of 100), companies must act.

Below 75, they must publish corrective and catch-up measures.

If the score is below 85, companies should set and publish progress goals.

Increased interest rate for the Action Logement loan

The interest rate of the Action Logement loan will increase, on March 1, from 0.5% to 1.5%.

This is financial aid, capped at 40,000 euros, to help finance a real estate project.

To access this loan, the applicant must be an employee of a non-agricultural private sector company with 10 or more employees.

The accommodation must also be in metropolitan France or in the DROMs.

Validity of meal vouchers

The majority of 2022 restaurant vouchers are valid until the end of February 2023. You can exchange your paper checks free of charge for new ones before March 15, 2023 with your employer. For cards, you will need Transfer your funds from 2022 so you can use them in 2023.
