After successful binding, they will go to the store to shop with fast payment. The transaction amount of each stolen credit card ranges from several thousand to tens of thousands of yuan.

The Crime Department of Yau Tsim Police District searched a large number of closed-circuit televisions and successfully located five key members of the syndicate, who were arrested yesterday.

Detectives first ambushed at a shop in Tsim Sha Tsui and arrested three buyers for the crimes of "conspiracy to defraud" and "obtaining property by deceit". They were a 26-year-old Chinese man, a 14-year-old girl and a Malaysian A 27-year-old woman with a passport.

After intelligence analysis, the police successfully identified the delivery location of the criminal group and arrested two more Chinese men, aged 25 and 27, in Sha Tin District.

Inspector Jiang Yunchun, Chief Inspector of the Third Squad of the Serious Crime Division, pointed out that criminal syndicates use social platforms to attract quick money and attract young people and non-local residents to come to Hong Kong as "buyers" and use stolen credit cards to shop in different stores , profiting from it.

The case is still under investigation and further arrests cannot be ruled out.

The police appeal to the public to pay attention to whether there are suspicious transactions on credit cards and SMS messages requesting one-time verification codes.

Shops should also be more vigilant, beware that scammers will disguise themselves as tourists.
