After eleven years together, border collie Ella and mistress Sarah say goodbye.
After the dog was diagnosed with cancer, Sarah organized a last day at the beach with all her friends.
Since Border Collie dog Ella was adopted by Sarah Keith from a deep home around eleven years ago, she and her owner have been inseparable.
But after more than a decade, on February 3rd, they received a shocking diagnosis: Ella has cancer.
Unfortunately, this one is incurable.

So Sarah made a momentous decision.
With a heavy heart she had to put Ella out of her pain and put her to sleep.
But before that, she wanted to give her best friend a nice last day.

For her last day, Sarah really wanted to go to the beach with her dog.
However, she did not want to take the walk alone.
So Sarah shared the terrible diagnosis on Facebook and at the same time called for people to take her and Ella for a walk on Fraisthorpe Beach.
More than 30 dog lovers followed the loving call and came to the beach.
Sarah was infinitely grateful and posted a video she made with a drone online on YouTube.

As Sarah announced on Facebook, Ella was put to sleep on February 6th.
