The big “Bergdoktor” season finale is imminent.

But before it is decided whether Martin Gruber is really leaving his practice behind, "Linn Kemper" actress Andrea Gerhard gives exciting backstage insights.

Ellmau, Tyrol – “Der Bergdoktor” has been delighting its fans since 2008.

But anyone who thinks that season 16 will be quieter is wrong.

On Thursday (February 23, 2023) ZDF will broadcast the highly dramatic season finale.

"Linn Kemper" actress Andrea Gerhard is now giving her Instagram fans exclusive insights into everyday life on the set of "Der Bergdoktor".

Quarrels, tears and hospital: The big "Bergdoktor" finale is so dramatic

After "Der Bergdoktor" was postponed by one week due to carnival-related program changes on ZDF, fans can finally look forward to the exciting season finale on Thursday.

After Martin's argument with his brother became too much, he decided to close his practice for an indefinite period and go to Franziska in New York.

The family drama with his brother Hans is too much for Bergdoktor Martin Gruber.

The likeable country doctor therefore wants to go to New York for a while – to his ex-girlfriend Franziska and their son Johann.

Bergdoktor Martin Gruber says goodbye to Lilli and Mama Lisbeth and gets on the private jet towards the Big Apple.

Before he flies off, he checks his cell phone again – and suddenly everything is different.

And to increase the excitement for the big season finale, "Bergdoktor" star Andrea Gerhard is now posting a few more photos from the set.

Already knew?

"The Mountain Doctor" is a remake

“Der Bergdoktor” was already on the air in the 1990s.

From 1992 to 1997, the doctor series was still on Sat.1.

At that time, Gerhart Lippert (85) took on the role of the mountain doctor as Dr.

Burgner.

But after only four seasons, Burgner died in serial death and Dr.

Hallstein (Harald Krassnitzer, 62) became the new mountain doctor.

Despite good ratings, Sat.1 canceled the series after only five years.

Finally, ZDF secured the rights to the series – with success.

Because even after 16 seasons, there is still no series finale planned.

Meanwhile, "Bergdoktor" colleague Mark Keller draws attention to himself with a questionable comment.

Apart from the ups and downs in Martin Gruber's private life, there are no real catastrophes in "Der Bergdoktor".

That's a good thing, Mark Keller now clarifies and surprises with a drastic statement on the subject of refugees.
