The Nice carnival will end earlier than expected.
Faced with rain forecasts, even heavy rains and gusts on Sunday - some will be delighted after 47 days without a single drop - the organization has decided to postpone the end of the festivities to Saturday evening.
The program has thus been hastily reviewed in order to end in style (while keeping the desired philosophy) this 150th edition around the "king of the Treasures of the world".
His Majesty, precisely, will finish his reign in the middle of the sea. Seven years after the attack of July 14, 2016, he will be cremated on the Promenade des Anglais, as agreed, but Saturday evening and later in the evening.
The last night corso will be held at 8:30 p.m. on Place Masséna for people with a ticket.
Then in the process, the king will be burned in the Baie des Anges, at 10:45 p.m. at the Espace Jacques-Cotta.
All residents of Nice will be able to attend this event for free and watch the fireworks at the same time.

The battle of flowers in the afternoon, at 2.30 p.m., remains well maintained on Saturday.
The parade of associations, neighborhood carnivals and various orchestras, scheduled for Sunday, is also shifted to Saturday but remains free.
This "parada nissarda" will start at 11 a.m. on the Paillon promenade and will end around 1 p.m.
Even with one day less, the program of festivities will be well maintained over a tight period of time.
