Against the background of the legal reform legislation led by the government, a dramatic change in the relationship of political forces is evident.

According to a survey published in "Maariv", if Knesset elections were held today, the result would be a reversal as the coalition parties would receive only 55 mandates, while the opposition would receive 65 mandates.

Yesh Atid led by Yair Lapid becomes the largest party with 27 seats and relegates the Likud to second place, which drops to 26 seats - this is according to the survey conducted by the Panels Politics Institute, led by Dr. Menachem Lazar. The biggest beneficiary of the shrinking of the Likud is the state camp led by Benny Gantz , Gideon Sa'ar and Gadi Einkot, which according to the survey increases to 19 mandates. The other results: Shas - 10 mandates, Torah Judaism - 7, Otzma Yehudit - 7, Havoda - 5, Hadash Ta'al - 5, Religious Zionism - 5 , Israel Beitno - 5 and Meretz - 4.

The polarization in Israeli society over the legal reform is also reflected in the issue of negotiations and the attempt to reach a compromise.

43% believe that the legislative process should be stopped as a condition for negotiations, while 42% believe that negotiations should take place even if the legislative process continues.

The rest replied that they don't know what to do.

In response to the question, "In your opinion, in the foreseeable future, the social divide between those who support the reform and those who oppose it, will worsen or ease" - 67% answered "It will worsen", compared to only 24% who thought it would "relax".

Another 9% answered "don't know".

The online survey of respondents was conducted on a representative sample of the adult population in the State of Israel aged 18 and over, both Jews and urbanites, and the maximum sampling error is 4.3%.
