In statements to SANA reporter, the head of the ambulance system in the Health Directorate, Dr. Abdel-Razzaq Al-Zabadi, stated that the required measures have been taken since the moment the earthquake occurred, with medical and nursing cadres called for emergency response to treat and rescue all cases that were transferred to hospitals, indicating that the emergency centers that are working Within its scope, the ambulance system was distributed in the hospitals of the city of Hama, Salamiyah, Masyaf, and al-Suqaylabiyah, and the road points in Maharda, al-Farika, Salhab, Qamhana, and Soran, which serve the liberated countryside of Idlib, where there are 34 vehicles in full readiness 24 hours a day.

Al-Zabadi pointed out that the ambulance services and response were taking place quickly, while securing the transportation of the injured and the victims through nursing cadres familiar with various medical matters, despite the lack of supplies and equipment available to the system in light of the current circumstances, as it needs to increase the special clothing for the members of the system and the collapsible field stretchers. Oxygen cylinders that are carried on the back, and supplies for ambulances such as electrocardiographs, shock absorbers, stabilization plates for trauma patients, pressure scales, and stethoscopes.

Nurse Nisreen Mulej in the Ambulance Operations Department at Hama National Hospital explained that she was on top of her work in the hospital on the morning of the devastating earthquake, which was crowded with injured women and children, and she performed her humanitarian mission with the help of everyone.

Meanwhile, the nurse, Shaza Samaan, in the ambulance department at Hama National Hospital, stated that the ambulance crews were able to deal efficiently with the conditions of the terrorist war on Syria, and with various types of pressures during the past years, which also increased the experience of the system cadres in dealing with various emergency cases and rescuing the injured as a result. earthquake.
