Malaysia strongly condemned the Israeli aggression on the city of Nablus in the West Bank last Wednesday, which resulted in the death of 11 Palestinians and the wounding of 102.
Wafa news agency quoted the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying in a statement today: "These disgraceful acts represent crimes against humanity, and those responsible for them must be held accountable," calling on the international community to stop turning a blind eye to the violence and brutality committed by the Israeli occupation forces in the occupied Palestinian territories.
The ministry called on the UN Security Council to carry out its responsibilities stipulated in the Charter of the United Nations, stressing that the Palestinians have the right to live in peace, security and justice.
The Foreign Ministry reiterated Malaysia's firm position in supporting the Palestinian people in establishing their independent state on the line of June 4, 1967, with Jerusalem as its capital.
