Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev confirmed that the collective West is ready to bear any costs, in order to achieve the goal of defeating Russia through a proxy war in Ukraine, noting that Western countries have provided weapons to Kiev, sufficient to prolong the conflict to the maximum extent.
“The goal of defeating Russia in a proxy confrontation seems to justify any costs for the collective West, which has absolutely no interest in ordinary Ukrainian citizens, as well as for the Europeans who suffer the most from this conflict,” Medvedev said in an article published today in the Russian magazine Nationalnaya Oborona.
Medvedev indicated that the total volume of the targeted package of US military aid to Ukraine will soon reach about $50 billion, and the US administration has also allowed Kiev to supply weapons and military equipment from some NATO and European Union member states, in an amount of more than $13 billion, which is sufficient to prolong the fighting to the limit.
Medvedev stressed that the West is only prolonging Ukraine's agony in the hope of weakening and exhausting Russia, but after that the Kiev regime will be thrown into the "garbage."
Medvedev pointed out that Russia's nuclear capabilities are the biggest deterrent and that the supporters of the Kiev regime do not realize this fact.
