Today, the Charitable Medical Care Association in Suwayda provided a set of free services within the headquarters of the Veterans Association branch, as part of its endeavor to expand the scope of benefiting from its services in various regions and institutions of the governorate.

The services provided to retired officers and their families included conducting examinations and providing medical consultations, in addition to distributing medicines and conducting diabetes checks, with the participation of volunteer doctors from various specialties, in addition to presenting a lecture that included awareness messages for people active in society about the importance of vaccines approved within the national programs of the Ministry of Health.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society, Dr. Jamal Masoud, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that during the event, more than 100 examinations were provided and medicines were dispensed with a follow-up of disease cases in the coming period, whether by laboratory analyzes or x-rays, free of charge, stressing the importance of supporting veterans as a token of their fulfillment of what they provided for the sake of Motherland.

The head of the Veterans Association branch in As-Suwayda, Brigadier General Adnan Muhanna, pointed out the importance of this initiative, which reflects the rush and jealousy to provide services to retired officers and their families with love by the association and the team of doctors participating in it.

In addition, the Mersat Charitable, Educational and Developmental Foundation in Suwayda today provided material assistance to 32 elderly people, as part of its efforts to reach the various segments of society.

The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, Rimaz Abdel Hay, told SANA reporter today that this assistance comes within the framework of constant concern for the elderly and appreciation for what they have provided to society during their life path, and an affirmation of the need to support and stand by them.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Elderly Care Association in Suwayda, Sajea Ezzqoul, thanked those in charge of this initiative, and everyone who contributes to drawing a smile on the faces of the elderly in these difficult circumstances.
