The head of the Russian military company Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said: "The Russian forces liberated the town of Yagodnoye, north of the strategic city of Artemovsk in the Republic of Donetsk."
While a commander in the Russian special forces, Wagner, confirmed that only 1,740 meters separate the Russian forces from the city center of Artyomovsk.
For his part, a Russian military source said: The Ukrainian regime forces blew up a water dam in the part they still control in Artyomovsk to impede the progress of the Russian army.
