A delegation from the People's Ambulance Authority and the Lebanese People's Congress in Tripoli arrived in Lattakia Governorate, at the head of a humanitarian aid convoy, to provide aid to those affected by the earthquake.
Dr. Imad Jabri, deputy head of the People's Ambulance Authority, explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the convoy organized by the authority, which is one of the institutions of the Lebanese People's Congress headed by Kamal Shatila, carries a message of sympathy and solidarity with those affected by the earthquake in Syria, pointing out that it is the third campaign of the authority after its participation in the campaign. “Arab nationalism” that targeted the affected people in Aleppo, and the “Beirut Helps” campaign, which went to Lattakia last week, indicating that the convoy was loaded with in-kind aid such as clothes, foodstuffs, medical supplies, children’s toys, and others.
In turn, the official of the Lebanese People's Congress in Tripoli, lawyer Abdel Nasser Al-Masry, affirmed that solidarity with the Syrian people and standing with them in their ordeal is a human, fraternal and moral duty, in light of the unfair siege and economic sanctions imposed on Syria for many years as a result of its honorable national stances in the face of the colonial powers and the Zionist enemy. Noting that the aim of the visit is to express the solidarity of the Lebanese people with the Syrian brothers, to visit the affected people in hospitals and shelters, and to provide aid in terms of food and medical supplies.
