Today, the Israeli occupation authorities seized about 200 dunums of Palestinian land in Jericho, in the West Bank.
The head of the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, Moayad Shaaban, told WAFA that the occupation forces seized 193 dunums of Palestinian land in the village of Al-Auja, northeast of Jericho, with the aim of expanding settlement operations.
Shaaban stated that since 2014, the occupation authorities have seized more than 2,100 dunums of the village's lands, to implement their colonial settlement plans, and to connect the settlements with a network of roads and tunnels, to serve the settlers.
Yesterday, the occupation authorities announced plans to establish 7,157 settlement units to expand 37 settlements established in separate areas of the West Bank, two days after announcing a plan to establish 1,000 settlement units to expand 6 settlements, within a huge settlement bloc located south of Bethlehem.
