The Democratic Alliance for Betterment of Hong Kong's "Farewell Subdivided Housing Action" held its first "Property Inspection Tour" today (25th), inviting grassroots citizens to visit transitional housing projects.

All participating families are waiting for public housing

Nearly 100 grassroots families and neighbors from Sham Shui Po, Kowloon City and Yau Tsim Mong participated in this "property inspection tour". They are all waiting for public housing, and some of them have been waiting for 4 to 6 years.

Today, the "Property Inspection Team" visited Jiangxiawei Village in Yuen Long, which provides 2,000 units, and Tongxin Village, which provides 1,800 units. Both projects are open for application.

During the visit, representatives of the operating organizations Pok Oi Hospital and Sheng Kung Hui Welfare Association introduced the rental, transportation and surrounding supporting facilities of the two projects, including childcare tutoring and job placement services.
