The political system is in turmoil following the riots in Hawara:

Hundreds of settlers are protesting tonight (Sunday) as revenge for the murderous attack that happened in the afternoon in which the brothers Hillel Menachem Weigal Yaakov Yaniv, 20 and 22 years old, residents of the settlement of Har Bracha, were murdered, while the coalition and the opposition are clashing with each other.

Defense Minister Yoav Galant asked to avoid taking the law into his own hands and tweeted: "Even at the end of a difficult and painful day, in which two young brothers were murdered by a vile terrorist, I call on the citizens of Israel: Do not take the law into your own hands. Violations of order in Hawara endanger the citizens, and harm the activity The security forces are on the hunt for the terrorists. I trust the commanders and soldiers of the IDF, and I am sure that they will put their hands on the murderers."

Earlier this evening, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tried to calm the spirits and said that "a terrible disaster happened today. I would like to send my condolences to the Yaniv family, who lost two of their dear sons, may God restore their blood. The IDF and the security forces are currently in pursuit of the killer.
We will find him, we will capture him and we will deal with him.
I ask even when the blood is hot and the spirits are hot - not to take the law into your hands.
I ask to let the IDF and the security forces do their job. I remind you that in the last few weeks they have eliminated dozens of terrorists and prevented dozens of terrorist attacks. Let the IDF complete the pursuit, do not take the law into your hands - and together we will defeat terrorism."
Aryeh Deri said that "the arsons in Hawara could set Judea and Samaria on fire and cause killing and destruction. The IDF, the Shin Bet and the security forces are working resolutely against the terrorists and have eliminated dozens of terrorists since the beginning of the year. Let the IDF act because that's the only way we will win."

From the more right-wing side of the government, MK Limor Son Har-Malech tweeted: "I arrived this evening at the scene of the serious attack in Hawara to support the just cry of hundreds of Samaria residents who went out to protest and demand security, after many months of being abandoned.
The writing was on the wall and in recent months I have warned about it along with the residents of the communities here from every possible platform.
I cried, begged and warned, but the worst of all did happen.
This is not the time for slogans, nor for empty promises.
Just a 180-degree switch change, an end to the criminal containment policy and the eradication of terrorist incidents down to the last one.
To the cries of the residents that we were meant to hear, it is better that we listen now and fulfill our responsibility to ensure their safety, instead of issuing messages of condemnation and calls to calm the spirits while our wait is laid before us."

Shame on every Jew
MK Benny Gantz wrote on his Twitter account that "Besides the deep and heavy sorrow for the serious attack, the scenes tonight in Hawara should shame every person and every Jew in particular.
This is not our way.
It is unimaginable that on an evening like this, IDF soldiers should arrest Israeli rioters and prevent the murder of innocents, instead of chasing terrorists."
MK Matan Kahana pointed out: "Even in painful days like today, when our days are still ahead of us, we must not take the law into our hands.
We must trust the security forces to lay hands on the damned murderers."
