As part of the “From the Family to the Family” initiative, the Kafarbehm Charitable Association secured shelter for 86 families from the affected areas, as a result of the earthquake in Aleppo, Lattakia and Jableh.
Dr. Fadi Shammout, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association, explained to SANA reporter that monthly financial assistance was provided to each family that visited the Association, in addition to distributing milk for children, conducting medical analyzes, dispensing medication prescriptions, medical examinations, and distributing clothes.
Nazem Tohme, a member of the association's board of directors, pointed out that the psychological support programs aimed at foreign children, in cooperation with the Hama Culture Directorate and the Syrian Trust for Development, included recreational activities, games, songs from the world of childhood, and dialogues in which about 60 children and their families participated.
A member of the association’s board of directors, Michel Zaidan, stated that the association developed with the town council and civil activities a plan to help those affected since the first hours of the earthquake, by collecting aid from various segments of society.
