An earthquake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale hit the Iskenderun region this morning.
The National Seismological Center stated in a statement, a copy of which SANA received, that the tremor came at 5:26 am today in the Iskenderun District, at a depth of 54 kilometers west of Idlib Governorate.
The director of the center, Dr. Raed Ahmed, explained in a statement to SANA yesterday that, according to these data, the seismic situation is limited, medium tremors, and a number of weak tremors, meaning that it takes the nature of interim stability.
Ahmed pointed out that the sea level is within the normal situation, calling not to be drawn into rumors or to believe them, and to rely only on the information provided by the center.
