An outdoor campaign in Eilat calling for fostering pleasant and non-violent discourse, workshops for growing students and parents.
All of these accompany the month of "Safety on the Internet" which is observed this month throughout the country and is intended to promote safe and responsible use of the Internet.
In Eilat, a representative was placed near the entrance to the Azrieli mall facing the sea and through it pass hundreds of thousands of people who are exposed to the important message.
"The association "Slander does not speak to me" encourages a positive culture of discourse with the aim of eradicating gossip, shaming and bullying in the physical and online space in order to create a more tolerant and respectful society," noted David Halperin, "the performance is intended to convey the important message that the hand that is light on the keyboard is the hand that holds the grenade which can explode at any moment."
The mayor - Eli Lankri who declared the year of 2015 as the year of "education for tolerance and acceptance of the other" noted the importance of eradicating violence in any form with an emphasis on the online space, putting a light hand on the keyboard and noted that the education system promotes the issue on the continuum between formal and informal education. In this framework, the program "The classroom as a social unit" was expanded as part of the city's goal of fostering children's society and preventing boycotts, alongside other programs in the field and even a play festival promoted by the "Eled" theater in Eilat-Eilat in the field of online violence.
