The Ministry of Education, the Teachers Syndicate, the Vanguards of the Baath Organization and the Revolutionary Youth Union have approved a joint action plan for psychological support activities for children affected by the earthquake, which will be implemented by seven specialized committees formed between the Ministry of Education and popular organizations.
The action plan included activities for “teacher support, psychosocial support, social communication, artistic, sports and musical activities, and youth initiatives,” in preparation for the start of implementation steps in the earthquake-affected governorates.
During a meeting of the aforementioned authorities that was held in the Ministry's building, the participants stressed the need to focus on various activities that enhance psychological and social support for those affected in the affected governorates, work as one team, and mobilize all efforts for implementation during the next two weeks.
On the 23rd of this month, the Ministry of Education began working on developing a joint action plan with the Vanguards of the Baath Organization, the Revolutionary Youth Union and the Teachers Syndicate during the next stage, regarding the activities approved by them to support children affected by the earthquake.
