The General Authority of Al-Basil Hospital in Tartous continues its readiness around the clock to provide its medical services to the auditors, as all its cadres were mobilized since the first hours of the earthquake disaster, and it received all the wounded cases coming at that time and provided them with the necessary medical care, and they were all discharged.

Dr. Iskandar Ammar, Director General of the Hospital Authority, talked about the various injuries that were dealt with from the governorates of Tartous and Lattakia, since the implementation of the full alert in the hospital, which ranged from cases of panic and psychological stress to light bruises and fractures of moderate severity.

Ammar confirmed that all the cases that visited the hospital since the earthquake and the aftershocks that followed and so far have been discharged in good condition, after providing all the necessary emergency and surgical treatments, indicating that the hospital with all its staff is still fully prepared around the clock in anticipation of any emergency.

Regarding the neurological and psychological cases as a result of the earthquake disaster that the hospital received, Dr. Ali Hayek, a neurologist, explained that the majority of these cases were caused by psychological tension and panic as a result of the tremors, as they were given the necessary first aid according to each case, pointing out that the hospital's medical, nursing and administrative staff maintain It is fully prepared to receive patients and provide them with the necessary health care.

As for the fracture injuries resulting from the earthquake, they were mostly simple and moderate, as mentioned by Dr. Karam Ammar, a specialist in orthopedic surgery, where the necessary first aid was provided immediately, while the fracture cases that required surgical work were accepted, and after the health status of the injured stabilized, they were discharged from the hospital. In turn, stressing that the hospital is in a state of constant readiness to provide all kinds of medical care to the auditors at any time.
