Weeks pass and the protest does not weaken in Israel.
On Saturday, tens of thousands of Israelis protested against the Netanyahu government's judicial reform plan.
In Tel-Aviv, they were 160,000 and about 300,000 in the whole country;
a very large number throughout Israel.
These demonstrations are one more illustration of the fractures that run through society.
But, so far, they have in no way deterred Benyamin Netanyahu from carrying out this project, the most important since his return to power two months ago.
For him, there is no question of going back.
Last Friday, he resorted to a pugilistic vocabulary, urging his ministers to
"punnish"
opponents of the reform and to
"knock on the lies".
With a solid majority in the Knesset, the Prime Minister also knows that he can count on the support of his electoral base, convinced that it is necessary to rebalance the powers, because the judges…
