Outrage in the coalition over reports that Israel will freeze construction; A political source clarifies: there will be no restriction on the entry of forces into the Yosh | Israel Today

The coalition members are furious following the conference in Jordan and the foreign publications according to which Israel has committed to a compromise with the Pashtuns • Danny Danon: "Shame and disgrace"

After the conference in Jordan today (Sunday), with the participation of Israel and the Palestinians, which dealt with an attempt to calm the latest wave of security flare-ups, and in the shadow of calls to stop it following the attack that took place today in Hawara, Israeli politicians are reacting to the war of versions regarding the agreements that were agreed upon.

A senior political official stated that "there will be no change in the decision to regulate nine settlements in the young settlement and to build approximately 9,500 housing units in Yosh", while the Jordanian "Petra" agency stated that the Israeli government has pledged not to discuss the establishment of new housing units in the settlements for a period of 4 months and to suspend approval New settlements and outposts for a period of 6 months.

The senior political official also clarified that there will be no restrictions on the entry of IDF forces into cities in Judea and Samaria. "The army will enter any place where there is intelligence about terrorists."

Aside from this policy, the Israeli willingness to hold the summit and establish a forum that will test the Palestinian Authority's capabilities to fight terrorism, also follows a position presented by the General Security Service.

The Shin Bet has been of the opinion for many months that the PA's ability to thwart terrorism should be tested, and this against the background of the weakening of its hold on the ground in a process that has been going on for over a year.

The Shin Bet proposed to hold a pilot in which a certain area in one of the Palestinian cities would be designated as being under the responsibility of the Arab mechanisms. If terrorist cells develop in that area, the Palestinians would be required to thwart them. If they do not do so, the IDF will deal with the problem.

If the experiment is successful, the Authority will take responsibility for additional areas in area A.

The Chairman of the Religious Zionist Party and Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich said in response: "A conference is unnecessary.

There will not be a freeze on construction and development in the settlement, not even for one day.

The IDF will continue to act to counter terrorism in all areas of the Yosh without any restrictions.
