Hillel Menachem Yaniv, who was murdered yesterday in an attack in Kfar Havara along with his brother Yigal, was until recently a fighter in the 916 Bee Squadron. A day after the attack, a message was published that he sent to his commander on his last day in operational service, in which they expressed gratitude for the privilege of serving on ships assigned to the southern coastal sector and the Gaza Strip .
"5:00 in the morning. Sitting in front of the radar, and voila the tears are flowing," Hillel wrote in the message, "I can't believe that this chapter in life is going to end in a few hours.
A crazy detail that I didn't believe would look like this.
I entered as a young police officer and graduated as deputy commander of a luxurious bee."
"So happy that I got to be significant in every ship and position I was in. I can't digest that tomorrow morning I get up without a ship, without soldiers to take care of and without finishing two weeks exhausted, but still waiting for Sunday for another two weeks like this. There will still be time for summaries and celebrations, and now I am the face For the next challenge. Lesson 4, here we come," he added in the message.
The exciting message also reached former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.
The latter shared the message on his Facebook page and called on the public to read "the moving words of the late Hillel Menachem Yaniv".
He also wrote: "The heart is torn. We are all one people. Together."
