Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al-Maliki called on the Human Rights Council and the international community to assume its responsibilities and take immediate measures to end the Israeli occupation, hold Israeli officials accountable for their crimes, and provide international protection for the Palestinian people.

Al-Maliki said in the speech of the State of Palestine during a high-level session of the Human Rights Council in its regular session: “The truth is known to all, and the brutality of the Israeli occupation is documented and clear to everyone as a whole.. The details of the Palestinian suffering and all dimensions of injustice are all also documented accurately by United Nations bodies and human rights organizations.” International”, stressing that the chronic failure of the international community to hold the occupation accountable is the main reason for its persistence in crimes.

Al-Maliki stressed that the aggression launched by settlers yesterday, with the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, against the Palestinians, their homes and properties in several towns south of the city of Nablus in the West Bank, is organized terrorism that amounts to war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Al-Maliki said, “The Palestinian people were left under the burden of injustice to redeem themselves without help from anyone, and they were saturated with statements and discourses about commitment to human rights and global solidarity,” noting that double standards and the policy of double standards will lead to the collapse of the international system based on law, which encourages Occupation to persevere in committing more crimes.

Al-Maliki stressed that the Palestinian people will continue to defend their land and sanctities and their struggle to defeat the Israeli occupation, and will not surrender until they achieve their rights and freedom with the support of countries with principles, considering that it is time for the international community to insist on confronting these crimes in order to lift the injustice and achieve the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
