The next one, the 10% refund for purchases in butcher shops paid with debit cards
will come into force .
The initiative will be
in force until the end of the year
, within the framework of the Fair Meat Prices program.
The measure will enter into force on March 1 and will last until December 31 of this year
.
In addition to the benefit for consumers, butcher shops will have
a 90-day deferral in the payment of tax obligations.
To access the benefit you must register to participate in the program.
The Federal Administration of Public Revenues (AFIP) regulated this measure through general resolution 5330/2023 for final consumers who make purchases in butcher shops with a debit, prepaid or similar card associated with accounts opened in financial or fintech entities.
The benefit consists of a refund of 10%
of the amount of the operation carried out in butcher shops that appear registered in the AFIP list.
The refund will have a
monthly refund limit of $2,000.
It will be valid for transactions made through payment terminals, as well as through QR codes.
Financial entities must credit the sum in the accounts of
final consumers
four days after the operation is completed
, and the detail must appear in the physical or electronic account summary of the clients, for which the agency created a new Registry of butchers.
Businesses that have the category of registered manager or are monotributistas with up to three declared employees
will be automatically incorporated into the reimbursement regime
, the AFIP specified.
Meanwhile,
the rest of the taxpayers must register through the Registry System of the agency's website,
in accordance with the regulations.
There they must select the Special Records option, then Characteristics and Special Records, and select the description Retail Butchers - Reimbursement Regime.
Consumers, for their part,
will be able to access the list of businesses registered on the AFIP website,
as well as the list of financial and fintech entities that join the refund regime.
This measure is in addition to the Fair Meat Prices program -replacing Careful Cuts- that began on February 17 and will be valid until March 31
with 30% discounts for seven cuts
in large supermarket chains.
Fair Meat Prices has a volume of 18,000 tons per month of steer beef for sale in supermarket chains with the following prices:
Then, these cuts provided mainly by the companies grouped in the Consortium of Meat Exporters (ABC)
will have a guideline of 3.2% monthly increase until June 30.
In the last week, the Secretary of Commerce issued 769 fines to food companies and supermarkets for $806,450,000 due to some irregularities in compliance with the Fair Prices program.
The irregularities detected by the Ministry of Commerce are due to stock shortages, lack of signage, use of posters in gondolas for products that are not part of the program, and duplication of labeling, among other breaches.
