The Speaker of the Egyptian Parliament, Dr. Hanafi Jabali, stressed the inevitable necessity for Syria's return to its Arab surroundings.
Jabali said during a session of the Egyptian Parliament today: “Syria was and still is a fundamental pillar of joint Arab action, and an indispensable pivotal element of the Arab national security system,” indicating that the Egyptian move towards it comes within the tireless efforts to support the Arab brothers, and save the Arab nation from evils staring out.
Jabali visited Damascus yesterday as part of the delegation of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union that was formed during the Baghdad meeting, and confirmed during a speech in the People's Assembly that there is a strong historical link between the two sisters, Egypt and Syria.
