In an integration of the relief scene implemented by the various official, economic, social and popular activities and charitable associations in Al-Hasakah Governorate, workers in the cultural field sought to provide support to those affected by the earthquake through their humanitarian and awareness-raising initiative.
The Director of Culture, Abd al-Rahman al-Sayyid, said in a statement to SANA reporter: We invited some intellectuals, in addition to the workers in the Directorate of Culture, the Nagham and Qalam Center, and the Life Skills Project, to collect in-kind and financial donations and deliver them in assets to the relief sub-committee, noting that despite the tragedy of the earthquake, the Syrian people reaffirmed It is one body and is able to face the odds.
Al-Sayed pointed out that the efforts of the Directorate of Culture were not limited to the relief aspect and fundraising, and went beyond it towards the awareness aspect, as the Life Skills Team, in cooperation with the Al-Ittihad Sports Branch, implemented a training course on how to deal with the earthquake, provide first aid to those affected and evacuate homes, and more than 400 male and female students benefited from the programs.
