In order to help retirees fulfill themselves and become independent and within the framework of the Lottery's "Promising Veterans" initiative, JoinMe and the Social Economic Forum of the Employers in Israel launched a special course, which offered participants a look at the new employment world of senior citizens - from traditional names and jobs to entrepreneurs and freelancers in the new economy.
In the course, called "Your experience is worth employment, entrepreneurship, livelihood", the participants received tools so that they could face the challenges of retirement and see it as an opportunity for development and employment.
They were exposed to the new job market, while personally mapping opportunities and careers and learned what initiative and entrepreneurship are, and what the economic and personal meanings of a freelancer are.
We were also intrigued, so we came to see the course up close.
