Stormy debate in the Constitution Committee:
MK Yitzhak Kreuzer (Otzma Yehudit) this morning (Monday) raised the ire of opposition members when he said that the rioters in Hawara "may have been inspired by a month and a half of riots and blocking roads in protests against the legal reform."

Kreuzer added: "Don't let it be interpreted that I said to take the law into your own hands, but I expect condemnations also of difficult events that happen in your demonstrations."
Knesset members from the opposition protested the comparison and called him: "Shame on you, get back on your feet, there is nothing to compare."
MK Tali Gottlieb (Likud) refused to condemn the riots in Hvara at the debate: "I will not judge or condemn people in times of sorrow.
The water reached our heart's content, the attacks reached us this far."
MK Efrat Raiten (Labor) protested: "You are endangering our soldiers, and if something happens to the soldiers here, it will be on you, you are the government now"
At the same time, the Minister of Education, MK Yoav Kish, tweeted a harsh response against the MKs who supported the rioters: "There is only one agency whose role is to protect the citizens of Israel and that is the IDF.
