The tensions between the IDF and the settlers in Judea and Samaria are skyrocketing.
A day after an officer opened fire at a vehicle belonging to settlers in Samaria who tried to run him over, another fighter fired today (Tuesday) over the heads of Israeli demonstrators who were rejoicing on Alon Road over incidents of stone throwing at the site a short time earlier, in which the driver and her infant daughter were injured.
At around 12:00, terrorists from the village of El Muayir threw stones at Israeli vehicles in the area of In Samia, on the Alon road.
A mother and her one-year-old daughter were slightly injured as a result of the stones being thrown and received treatment on the spot.
A short time later, settlers came to the place to protest the throwing of stones.
The village from which the terrorists came is well known as a hostile village that has been throwing stones, Molotov cocktails and explosives towards Alon Road for a long time, and according to the settlers, the IDF is not doing enough to prevent the incidents. They were confronted by IDF fighters who sought to repel the demonstrators.

The events quickly escalated, apparently against the background of the recent events published in Judea and Samaria between settlers and IDF fighters, among other things in the incident in which Brigadier General Benjamin was allegedly attacked by settlers, an event that is still under review in court.
At first the fighters responded with measures to disperse demonstrations, but then, according to the evidence, one of the fighters opened fire over the heads of the settlers.
In the footage of the protesters, an officer is seen collecting the backpacks.
Yitzhak, one of the residents who came to protest, described what happened: "Immediately upon receiving the report of the injury of a mother and daughter on the nearby Alon road which has become a focus of murderous terrorism, dozens of residents arrived to protest the security negligence and demand that the security system do something about the attempted murders we are experiencing Here every day.
"Shortly after we arrived at the area, IDF soldiers arrived at the scene and shouted at us to flee the scene, and started throwing gas grenades at us one after another.
At some point one of the soldiers crossed his weapon and fired live rounds a few meters above our heads.
It wasn't a shot at the sky, he shot right in his direction," he claimed.
"It is a crazy and bizarre thing to me that the security system that is supposed to protect us, is fighting us with tools that were supposed to fight the enemy. Instead of eradicating terrorism - they are trying to eradicate the protest of the residents who came out to cry out and fight for their lives."
An incident in which a soldier fires live fire over the heads of demonstrators is unprecedented, and is another step in the massive deterioration of the relationship between the IDF and the demonstrators in recent months.
