British police arrested a woman from an aristocratic family and her partner, after the couple disappeared with their baby son in early January.
The search for the baby continues.
A passer-by identified 35-year-old Constance Marten and 48-year-old Mark Gordon from Brighton in southern England last night (Monday), the police reported today.
The couple was arrested for child neglect.
The baby, who the police believe was born 24-48 hours after the disappearance of his parents and did not receive any medical treatment, is still missing and the "search operation" is in progress.
"The work to locate the baby continues," a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police told CNN.
Officers are searching for the baby, who is believed to be two months old, in Brighton and the surrounding woods.
They asked the public to be vigilant and check empty properties on their property for the baby.

The search for the couple and their infant son began in early January, after police issued several requests for assistance and offered a $12,090 reward for information on their location.
In a new request for information last week, Detective Lewis Basford said investigators reviewed more than 630 hours of security video and received more than 350 phone calls from the public.

Napier Marten received "enlightenment" and left his family (photo: official website, Facebook)
Marten is the daughter of Napier Marten, a film and music producer, who was once a personal butler to the late Queen Elizabeth.
He was born and raised in an 18th century estate called Critchell House, which his family owned for over 400 years.
The grounds of the estate included 50 cottages, four villages, a cricket club and a lake, as well as more than 20 thousand dunams of forests and parks.
The 1990s movie "Emma" starring Gwyneth Paltrow was filmed at the estate.
The Marten family has extensive ties to the royal family.
Napier's mother, Mary Anne Marten, was a trustee of the British Museum whose godmother was the Queen Mother, and used to play with the late Princess Margaret, Elizabeth's sister, when they were children.
She received the Order of the British Empire in 1980 thanks to being a leading archaeologist in her field.
Her husband, Napier's father, Toby Marten, was a commander in the Royal Navy and had close ties to the royal family.
Napier's parents lived together on the estate and had six children;
five daughters and a son.
In 1996, when Constance was 9 years old, he had an "enlightenment" and a voice told him to get rid of the inheritance, shave his head and fly to Australia - which he did.
He inherited the estate to his son, left his children and moved to the southern hemisphere.
At some point, Napier returned to Britain, lived in a truck and worked as a chef.
He passed the estate to his eldest son, who sold it in 2013 for £34m.

In a video published last month, he said that the family is very worried about Constance and the baby.
"Dear Constance, even though we are not in touch at the moment, the family and I are always ready to do everything for you to return safely to us."
On January 5, police identified Martin and Gordon as the occupants of a car that caught fire on a highway in Bolton.
The two did not stay at the scene and most of their belongings were burned in the car, the police reported.
The police received several reports regarding their whereabouts in the days following their disappearance.
She also used security footage to map their movements in various cities across the UK.
On January 7, the pair were seen in London with their faces covered as they exited a taxi with an orange bag and a baby carriage.
The two paid cash for a tent for a couple, two sleeping bags and two pillows, despite the intense cold.
They disposed of the wagon and other belongings later that day.
