(CNN) --

Chris Rock will hit back the way he does best: on stage.

The legendary comedian is scheduling a live special on Netflix on March 4 where he will address the episode of Will Smith slapping him at the Oscars, according to Netflix.

While Rock has alluded to the incident in brief quips in his stand-up performances over the past year, this time around, he'll be addressing it in more detail.

The news was first reported by The Wall Street Journal.

Rock prepared the material for the special in January during a show at the arena in Charleston, where he shared the bill with Dave Chappelle.

Dressed entirely in white, he addressed the now-infamous moment with Smith for about a third of his set, according to a source he attended and spoke to CNN.

Rock talks about the mass outrage following the Oscars incident and makes several jokes.

"What people want to know...did it hurt? Hell yeah, it hurt. He played Muhammad Ali! I played Pookie (in 'New Jack City'). Even in animated movies I'm a zebra, he's a fucking shark. He hit me so hard I heard 'Summertime' ringing in my ears," Rock joked, according to the source.

In another line, Rock talks about the size difference between the two.

"Will Smith is a big guy. I'm not," Rock said.

"Will Smith is shirtless in his movies."

"If you see me in a movie having open heart surgery, I'll be wearing a sweater," he adds.

"Chris Rock: Selective Outrage" will air live on Netflix at 10 pm ET on Saturday, from the Hippodrome Theater in Baltimore, a week before this year's Academy Awards.
