The February 6th earthquake, the deadliest in Turkey's history, and those that followed it, occurred in the run-up to the elections that are due to take place in June.
The election is expected to be the biggest site for President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who wants to extend his two-decade rule.
Yesterday he admitted that the government's response to the disaster was inadequate.
"In the first days, we could not carry out the required work efficiently in Adyaman, among other things due to the devastating effects of the earthquakes, stormy weather and challenges arising from the damage to the infrastructures," Erdogan said at a press conference in the province and asked for understanding from the residents.
