Many reports from Shufersal Online customers report that they were charged by the large shopping chain in amounts that are hundreds of percent higher than the agreed purchase amount.
One customer even says that she was charged an amount over NIS 13,000 higher than their original purchase.

We note that Shufercell issued a proactive notice from the moment it learned about the malfunction and did not wait with it, and this in order to show responsibility towards the customers.
However, it is likely that there are quite a few customers who are completely unaware of the event and did not notice the double charge on the credit card.
Shufersal's response: In light of an update we received from the payment company Hyp (formerly Credit Guard), which provides payment services to Shufersal and other businesses, due to a nationwide glitch that happened with them, double future charges for the same transaction were recorded for some Shufersal online and digital services customers.
These charges have not actually been made so far and the payment provider is now working so that no additional charges will be made beyond the original order.
Shufersal is working with Hyp to ensure that the fault is corrected by the payment provider with the credit card companies, so that in practice Shufersal customers will not be charged any charge beyond the original charge.
