Finance Committee Chairman Moshe Gafni wants to advance a law to expand the adequate representation of ultra-Orthodox in government and municipal companies.
According to the law, it is proposed to designate dedicated jobs for the ultra-Orthodox in every government company and municipality and also to make adjustments for this in the employment tests.
It is also proposed to state that in every local authority, including municipal companies, jobs will be designated for members of the ultra-orthodox sector in accordance with the ratio of members of the ultra-orthodox sector to all residents of the local authority.
The Chairman of the Finance Committee requests that the law be submitted to the Ministerial Committee for Legislation on Sunday.
