Tutzing

– In the first half of the year, the Weilheim State Building Authority, the municipality of Tutzing and the Starnberger See waste water association want to complete the northern part of the main road between Ringseisweg and Hans-Alber-Straße.

Work on the central section will then begin in the summer.

Initially, this brought back mainly canal construction work.

“As in the two previous construction phases, the low-lying sewer construction work must begin.

This work will take place from summer 2023 and will be coordinated by the Lake Starnberg Wastewater Association.

After the canal construction work has been completed, the road construction work will follow in spring 2024," the state building authority announced.

In the area of the town center, in addition to the rainwater sewage system in the "Traubinger/Schlossstraße" construction site, the rainwater and waste water sewage system in Hallberger Allee (up to house number 2) and in Marienstrasse (up to house number 2a) will also be renewed.

These road sections will then be renewed in 2024.

"While the sewage system is at a moderate depth in the side streets, in the area of ,

Traubinger/Schlossstraße' excavation pits can be built up to a depth of five metres," the authority continued.

The rainwater from the main street – from the Gymnasium to Neustätter Straße – would be collected in the crossing area and fed into the lake via a channel with a diameter of one meter via Schlossstraße.

This derivation has already been set up, the junction with it a final section.

This construction site is therefore on the list as the first measure from summer 2023.

The upgrading of the sewage system in the side streets is then to be gradually carried out by the end of the year.

At the same time, the rainwater sewer system, which is about five meters deep in the main street, is to be renovated without excavation pits - the method is called "hose lining".

A tube made of glass fiber reinforced plastic soaked in resin is inserted into the sewer and cured by UV radiation.

The property connections are subsequently connected without trenches using robots and special connection pieces (so-called hat profiles).

According to the authorities, this part of the implementation will also start in the summer of 2023, but is expected to last until mid-2024.

"Tube lining" avoids construction pits

For the construction section from Lindemannstrasse and Bernrieder Strasse to the grammar school, a trenchless rehabilitation of the sewage system is also planned, the three project participants said.

"The work is deliberately being carried out after the road construction and should also begin in summer 2023," the statement said.

As with the rainwater sewer system, the sanitation in the dirty water is also carried out using "hose lining".

This method is also to be used on the northern section.

The work currently underway on the main street is only indirectly related to the middle construction phase - it's the same street.

Work will continue until the end of the week between the Barbaraweg junction and Oskar-Schüler-Straße, traffic will be controlled by traffic lights - and last week it got on the nerves of many drivers because of the long traffic jams.

But it could have been a foretaste of the work from summer.

The building authority wants to announce shortly beforehand how the traffic will then be routed.
