In the past two competitions, there was only a single design project, but this time the competition has increased to three, and the design content covers buildings, green landscaping and public space sculptures.

In 2019, the Qianhai Authority, Mr. Tse Wai-chuen and the 4 professional societies in the field of construction, surveying and planning represented by Mr. Xie Weiquan jointly organized the "Qianhai‧Hong Kong Youth Architectural Design Competition", attracting more than 100 young professionals from Hong Kong and related departments Students participated in the design competition for a public service building in Guiwan Park, Qianhai.

However, due to the impact of the epidemic, the competition will not be held between 2020 and 2022.

As the epidemic in the two places recedes and society returns to normal, Qianhai and Hong Kong have decided to host the "Qianhai‧Hong Kong Young Designers Competition" after communication and consultation. The project has become three, which are the concept plan of Qianhai Unit 4 Public Space (Phase II) project, the concept plan of Tonggu Road Rainwater Pump Ground Construction Project, and the concept plan of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Plaza Public Space Art Installation.

Individuals or teams can participate. All participants must not be over 45 years old. The individual or team leader must be a Hong Kong resident and a member of one of the co-organizers.

As for the co-organizers, in addition to continuing to receive support from the relevant authorities in Qianhai and the Department of Education and Science of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government, four professional societies in Hong Kong - the Hong Kong Institute of Architects (HKIA), the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS), and the Hong Kong Institute of Planners (HKIP) In addition to participating in the co-organization with the Hong Kong Institute of Landscape Architects (HKILA), this competition also joined the Hong Kong Interior Design Association (HKIDA) as a co-organizer, and the young professional organization "LEAPS" (LEAPS) as a co-organizer.

Hong Kong's young professionals understand the country, seize development opportunities, and take the initiative to connect with the construction of the Greater Bay Area.

Competition details will be announced on March 10

The details of the competition will be officially released on March 10 at the "Ninth Shenzhen-Hong Kong Bi-City Biennale of Urbanism and Architecture (Shenzhen) Qianhai Sub-Exhibition". On the same day, registration will be accepted, and the deadline will be April 3, and the deadline for submission will be June 5.
