Visiting the Fortiche animation studio, the Minister of Culture, Rima Abdul-Malak announced the launch of the second edition of the Green Alternatives call for projects, endowed with 25 million euros.
Launched in partnership with France 2030, the objective is to encourage
“innovations in favor of the ecological transition in the cultural and creative industries”
.
As of Wednesday March 1, applications will be open.
While the entire grant award process will end in December 2024, the application deadline closes on July 27.
Three types of project are expected: tools for measuring the environmental footprint in the spirit of the one developed by the animation studio Ooolala, Ecooo;
training tools for actors in the cultural sector;
and finally practical solutions to act on the main sources of environmental impact.

The Ministry of Culture specifies that the applications will be examined by
“an independent selection committee composed of qualified personalities.
A selection of projects will then be submitted for validation by the ministerial committee of the France 2030 plan.
Rima Abdul-Malak has made

her priority.
For her, it is a question of “
completely rethinking our ways of working, producing and building.”
In September 2021, a first Green Alternatives call for projects was launched.
According to the Ministry of Culture, it has made it possible to support 35 projects for a total of ten million euros in grants awarded.
All cultural sectors had been affected:
“Designers, fashion designers, publishing houses, press publishers and streaming music services.
The animated image sector and the show were particularly mobilized to respond to the call for applications.
