Mora and Caramelo
do not stop touching with their clips in
Big Brother
.
The puppies arrived at the house when they were two and a half months old with the mission of spicing up the coexistence a bit and encouraging
the adoption of mixed-breed dogs
.
Weeks before arriving on the small screen, the puppies arrived at
Las Palmas
, an inn in
Garín
that works as a transit and mediator to unite dogs with their new owners.
The origin of these puppies is not known, only that they are brothers and that they were around 2 months old when they received them.
The owner of Las Palmas believes that Mora and Caramelo are probably an
"unintended"
outcome .
Las Palmas maintains itself with its
inn and canine daycare
, where they take care of the pets when their relatives go on vacation and cannot take them with them.
But also, due to their commitment to animals, they agree to have
10 dogs for adoption
simultaneously under their care, while they look for a new family for them and make sure they maintain good health and a nice stay.
The puppies are in the care of the participants but receive constant visits from the veterinarian González Marín.
The owner of Las Palmas,
Gustavo González Marín , a
veterinary
doctor
and master's degree in animal health, worked on Zoobichos and other Telefé programs, for which he forged a
friendship with producers of the channel
.
This is why Big Brother chose him when he decided to bring dogs into the house.
Gustavo agreed as long as the action encourages adoption and the dogs are well cared for.
That is why Marín is
in charge of the health of the puppies
, he visits them constantly and provides them with the necessary veterinary service.
The Big Brother participants decided to name the dogs Caramelo, because of their size and hair color, and
Mora, after the show's host, Santiago del Moro
.
Although at first they had named it "Moro", a few days after arriving at the house, Camila, a participant, discovered that the puppy was actually female and they adapted her name.
The little brothers arrived at the house two weeks ago, less than a month from the final.
Although Santiago del Moro had initially said that the dogs were going to be adopted after the program, the participants,
Romina and Marcos
, came forward and said that they wanted to be the
puppies' new family
.
Nowadays the whole house takes care of the dogs but, when the reality show ends, Caramelo will go to Moreno with Romina and Mora will go to Salta with Marcos.
Las Palmas receives dogs in transit and gives them homes while they wait for their families.
The canine brothers entered with their
own suitcase
, characteristic of the reality show participants, with their beds, their dishes, their food, their toys and everything necessary for their care.
In addition, bars
were installed in the pool
to prevent dogs from falling in and drowning.
However, the driver was clear, the participants
must take care of the animals or the production will take them away
, they will not leave room for the puppies to be poorly cared for.
According to Santiago del Moro,
the adoption campaign worked
perfectly, since before Romina and Marcos signed up to adopt, there were several candidates to take these puppies home.
In addition to the adoption of mixed-breed dogs, González Marín seeks to encourage
early neutering
to avoid more litters of strays.
