But don't expect the tooth mouse to celebrate.
According to the results of the annual Tooth Fairy survey by insurance company Delta Dental, which has tracked the
value
of a tooth since 1998,
payouts skyrocketed 16% last year.
In 2022, a tooth
cost
$5.36.
Now the children can expect $6.23 from the little mouse (or
Tooth fairy,

English).

Of course, that's just an average price.
The tooth mouse's pay varies depending on the location and the family of the lucky child.
Those who lose their teeth in the
South
can expect the highest payment for their premolars: $6.59
,
while those in the
West
will earn only $6.25 on average.
In the
Northeast
it is 6.14 dollars.
As for the kids in the
Midwest
, maybe you should consider a trip to another region when your next tooth starts to move;
otherwise, they can only expect
$5.63.

According to Delta Dental, which surveyed a thousand mothers and fathers of children ages 6 to 12, the
price
of a tooth often follows the direction of the US economy.

Its value has increased by 379% in 25 years.
