The derailment of a chemical train in Ohio in early February has become a national affair in the United States.
Since the accident, the small town of East Palestine has seen Democratic and Republican officials, including Donald Trump, come to denounce the policies of the opposing camp.
Republicans accuse Democrats of not caring about the residents of this rural and predominantly Republican region.
The Democrats point to the security deregulations decided by the Republican administrations under pressure from large companies, in particular railroads.
The accident occurred on February 3, around 9 p.m., when a 150-car long freight train carrying chemicals and combustible materials derailed in East Palestine, a town of about 4,700 inhabitants located 80 km north- west of Pittsburgh.
A huge fire breaks out, spreading to about fifty cars.
