Taufkirchen – There was a change of staff at the CSU local branch in Taufkirchen after three members of the top management had made their offices available.

The new chairman is Stefan Haberl.

Christoph Puschmann resigned as local chairman after 14 years.

"Voluntarily, before I'm thrown out," joked the 44-year-old in an interview with our newspaper, before giving the real reasons afterwards.

“I have served on the board for more than a quarter of a century, first as press officer, then as vice chairman and finally as local chairman.

You can stop there at the age of 44.”

Another and the most important reason is the extra workload in his job.

Puschmann runs a dental practice in Taufkirchen.

“The shortage of skilled workers is also noticeable here.

I get to the practice at 7 a.m. and prepare everything so that I can treat the first patient at 8 a.m..” He also has a wife and two children of primary school age, so he has to divide his strength.

Of course, he will not disappear from the scene, after all he is the second mayor and holds other honorary posts.

His successor is his previous deputy and at the same time Taufkirchen's mayor.

Stefan Haberl was elected by all voting members of the total of 50 present at the general assembly in the restaurant La Barca in the moated castle.

"It was a huge pleasure for me," said Haberl.

"A local chairman couldn't have had a better start," said Puschmann happily, emphasizing: "We had a harmonious and smooth change of staff.

There is no scandal in the background and no bad blood.” He assured that he had always enjoyed his office.

It makes him proud that as a young chairman he always enjoyed the trust of the 149-strong association, whose average age is 61.5 years.

District chairman and district administrator Martin Bayerstorfer, who carried out the election, praised Puschmann.

He always brought enthusiasm and passion with him.

He in turn assured that it only works in a team.

Haberl, who has set himself three leitmotifs, also builds on this: "Preserve, keep and inspire".

The latter is particularly important to him: "I would like to win more young people for politics again." Due to the overlap that will result from his mayoral office, the 39-year-old does not expect a flood of more appointments.

The following have also left the CSU team: the deputy local chairmen Anneliese Mayer and Franz Hofstätter, both for reasons of age.

They are followed by Thomas Unterreitmaier, Anton Rosenberger and Nicole Schmittner.

Secretary Gabi Loicht also made her position as secretary available for professional reasons, which Elke Friedrich is now taking over.

The assessors Patrizia Maier and Johann Huber did not stand for election.

There was a "change, but no break" on the board, said Puschmann.
