Following the words of the member of Knesset from Otzma Yehudit, who said that he wanted to see Hvara burned down after disturbances earlier this week, the police received permission from the prosecutor and the state attorney to question him on suspicion of incitement

Today (Wednesday), the police received permission to investigate Knesset member Zvika Vogel from Otzma Yehudit on suspicion of incitement.

The approval was received on the opinion of Legal Adviser to the Government Gali Beharev Miara and State Attorney Amit Isman.

The approval for the investigation was received following Vogel's words at the beginning of the week after the disturbances in Hvara, when he said in an interview with Gali Israel that he wanted to see Hvara burned down.

"I want to see the village of Hvara closed and burned - that's the only way we'll achieve deterrence."

According to him, "I want to restore security to the residents of the State of Israel. How do we do that? We stop with the word 'proportionality'. We stop with the reluctance to collective punishment because it is not suitable for all kinds of courts."
