A TER hit a car on Wednesday March 1 on a level crossing and caused the death of the driver of the vehicle, in the town of Plantay (Ain), we learned from the firefighters and the gendarmes.
The accident occurred shortly before 1:00 p.m. on a level crossing crossed by the SNCF Lyon-Bourg-en-Bresse line, the same sources said, adding that the collision did not cause any casualties among the train passengers.
Train traffic, which was interrupted in both directions, was to resume at the end of the afternoon, the SNCF said on Twitter.
A substitute bus service has been set up, said the gendarmes who did not indicate the circumstances of the accident or the identity of the victim.
