program , with 50% discounts on the second trip, and 75% in the third, as long as they are carried out within the range of two hours from the start of the first.
The subway
The Buenos Aires government confirmed on Monday that the subway will have its first
increase on March 7.
Each trip will go from $42 to $58, an increase of the order of 38%, in line with the 39% that the national government added to train and bus tickets in January.
Then
there will be another 3 updates in May, June and September
.
It will go to $67, $74 and $80, almost double what it costs so far.
The City also puts as arguments the increases in operating costs, which according to the Buenos Aires Government grow at the rate of inflation that will border
100% per year.
The discounts
for
frequent travelers
will also be maintained from trip number 20.
For
its part, the Premetro (simple rate) will rise to $20 in March, and by September it will reach $28.
VTV and Parking
The most important rise in Buenos Aires public services is that of the
Vehicle Technical Verification (VTV)
, which will reach
131% in two sections.
Since Tuesday the first increase was applied, which took it from $4,024 to $7,242.
And it will hit $9,296 in May.
Bikes, meanwhile, went from $1,513 to $2,723 as of Tuesday and will hit $3,495 in May.
Metered parking has also increased.
The value of the hour, which is now paid from an app for mobile phones, has already gone from $45 to $81, an increase of
80 percent.
In addition, it is expected that a new progressive system
will be implemented from mid-March
, where the rate will increase from the second hour, with the aim of giving it
greater rotation
and discouraging parking in downtown Buenos Aires.
30% will be added to the value per hour.
The first one will cost $81, but the second one already rises to $105.30, the third one to $136.90 and from the fourth hour onwards it will cost $178. That is,
leaving the car for four hours will cost $502, twenty.
The metered parking works from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. On Sundays and holidays it is not valid.
For resident neighbors, free
parking is maintained
within a radius of 300 meters from their home.
Related to parking, the cost
of hauling
will also go up .
It went from $6,525 to $9,462, up 45%.
The crane service is one of the most controversial services in the City.
Since last year, the City terminated the contract of the companies that operated with the expired concession since 2001, and
took over the service
.
The priority is to remove vehicles that obstruct ramps for the disabled, bus stops or loading and unloading spaces.
Meanwhile, the tender to which
five companies submitted is advancing.
Lastly,
the value of the Ecobici service passes increased by 40 percent.
It continues to be free for national residents who make 4 trips per day of up to 30 minutes, Monday through Friday.
But there is an "intensive" pass that cost $1,275 per month and allowed 6 trips per day of up to 60 minutes, every day.
Since Tuesday the 28th it costs $1,785.
For foreign tourists, the increase was similar.
The single trip of up to 30 minutes, every day, went from $500 to $700. The same increase as for the seven-day recreational pass: it used to cost $4,200 and from Tuesday the 28th it will cost $5,900.
