A murder investigation was opened by the Perpignan prosecutor's office after the discovery of the bodies of a real estate agent and one of his clients in two different towns in the Pyrénées-Orientales, the prosecutor said on Wednesday.
The police were alerted by the wife of the 33-year-old real estate agent, who had an appointment on Monday with another man wishing to sell his house in Canohès, said prosecutor Jean-David Cavaillé at a press conference at Perpignan.
"Will Letter"
The real estate agent's vehicle was then found a few hundred meters from this house where the gendarmes went to arrest the seller, deemed dangerous and presented by his family as having psychological difficulties, according to the same source.
The authorities therefore appealed to the GIGN, an elite unit of the gendarmerie, which entered the house and found the remains of the seller on Tuesday.
The 45-year-old man had left a "
letter will
" and a firearm was near his body, leading investigators to consider the possibility of suicide.
The gendarmes also found other weapons in the house.

However, the real estate agent was not there.
It was not until Wednesday morning, during the search of a caravan belonging to the seller and parked in Soler, a town near Canohès, that his body was found.
The prosecution opened an investigation for murder, of which the real estate agent was allegedly the victim, as well as a second to find the causes of the seller's death, in order to determine "the
link between these two deaths
".
