Dear subscribers,
This morning, we are leaving for Africa alongside Emmanuel Macron, who is embarking on a four-day journey through Gabon, Angola, Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
There, he intends to redefine our relations with an Africa where a strong anti-French feeling is developing and where the French influence is deteriorating.
While Russia and China are growing in power there, the President of the Republic insists on the aid to be provided to a continent which is facing major challenges, whether security, geopolitical, economic or climatic.
And hopes that France will be among its first partners.
The program for this first day of March also includes an investigation into the disappearance of cash and a point on this somewhat distant hypothesis but which is gaining ground and agitating the ranks of Macronists: that of a candidacy by Jean Castex to succeed Emanuel Macron.
Have a great day and think of the Aubins we are celebrating today!
