The workshops of the General Corporation for Drinking Water in As-Suwayda returned 10 drinking water wells to service after completing their repair.
The Director General of the Corporation, Eng. Amin Ghazali, stated in a statement to SANA reporter that the re-operated wells, which were idle last month, included the wells of the workers’ residences, Al-Jalaa neighborhood, Al-Thala plant No. 2, Al-Thala station No. 16 feeding the city of As-Suwayda, and the wells of the villages of Al-Raha 2, Al-Mutuna 2, Shaqa 2, Amra 2, and Areqa 2. And loose housing.
Ghazali added: Those wells were out of order as a result of the instability of the electrical system feeding them, in addition to the old submersible pumps that are being repeatedly repaired due to the lack of new submersible pumps.
